William Vernon Jackson

William Vernon Jackson, age 81, of Eminence, KY, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023, at his residence.  He was born on January 17, 1942, in Rockcastle Co., KY to Willilam Lovell Jackson and Anna Mae Griffith Jackson. William was a licensed practical nurse, a veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of the Owen Lodge #128 F&AM. He loved to draw, whittle and enjoyed yard work.

His survivors include his wife of 53 years; Phyllis Ann Knight Jackson, two daughters; Debra Lynn Horstman and Janice Ann Jaggers, both of New Castle, KY, two sons; Charles Horstman (Tori) of Wilmore, KY, and William Vernon Jackson II (Debi) of Alpharetta, GA, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter; Bonnie Jo Carpenter, one sister; Joyce Marie Jackson and one grandchild; Justin Jaggers.

At Mr. Jackson's request he wanted to be cremated. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
