William A. Davis

William A. "Bill" Davis, age 87, of Louisville, KY passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023, at his residence.  He was born on January 8, 1936, in Smithfield, KY to Marshall E. Davis and Nannie Elizabeth Ambrose Davis. William was of the Pentecostal faith, retired from General Electric and loved to play the guitar and sing.

His survivors include three sisters; Cleo F. Jackson of Medora, IN, Anna Marie Gent of Elizabethtown, KY, and Betty D. Mahoney of Louisville, KY, one brother; Harry L. Davis of Louisville, KY, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Elizabeth Louise Bryant; and two brothers; Maurice E. Davis and Charles E. Davis.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Sholar-Riley Funeral Home with Mr. Christopher Miller officiating.  Special speaker will be Lynn Forrest. Visitation will be Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Pleasureville Cemetery.
