Willanna Norene Finney

Willanna Norene Finney, age 93, of Lockport, KY passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at New Castle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in New Castle, KY.  She was born on May 27, 1930, in Henry County, KY, the daughter of the late Lorenzo D. and Ollie (Adler) Raisor. Willana was a member of Lockport Church of Christ and was retired from Henry County Public School as a cook at Eastern Elementary School, for 26 years. She enjoyed sewing and farming.

She is survived by one daughter; Carolyn Sue Doss of Lockport, KY, one son; Donnie R. Finney (Sharon) of Bethlehem, KY, one sister; Betty Sue Brewer of Pleasureville, KY, one brother; Prentice Lee Raisor of Eminence, KY, one sister-in-law; Nannie Raisor of Nicholasville, KY, 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Edward Ray Finney, two sisters; Cordia Ellen Beverly and Linda Lou Gilreath, five brothers; Vernon D. Raisor, Robert Allen Raisor, Albert Curtis Raisor, William Francis Raisor and John Dallas Raisor.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Barlow and Bro. Joe Hill officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Calvin Beverly, Lawrence Beverly, Billy Beverly, Owen “Tooter” Arnold, Jr., Matt Woods and Ron Schneider.
