Virgil Randolph Jacobs, Jr.

Virgil (Jake) Randolph Jacobs, Jr., age 89, of Pleasureville, KY passed Sunday, July 2, 2023.  He was born on July 3, 1933, in California, KY, the son of Virgil Randolph and Mary Hope Jacobs. Jake was a member of the United States Airforce from 1953-1957, honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He received the National Defense Service and Good Conduct Medals.

Upon completion of his military service, he joined the education system in Northern Kentucky as a Science teacher.  He taught for over 33 years in classrooms in Northern Kentucky.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jacobs of Pleasureville, son Sean Morgan of Pleasureville, daughter Nicole Ishmael Livingston of Versailles, son-in-law Todd Livingston of Versailles, and grandsons Carter Ishmael, Parker Ishmael, Ryan (wife Alexis), Livingston and Shane Livingston. His two sisters Gayle Waldo of Milford, OH, and Lois (husband Ralph) Eaton of Bethel, OH, and two nieces and nephews.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Jake was an avid Fisherman and UK Fan, and educator.  He was a member of the Elmburg Baptist Church.

A private service will be at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home, Pleasureville, Kentucky.  A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, July 7th, at Elmburg Baptist Church starting at 4:00 p.m.
