Tommy Robinson

Marvin Thomas "Tommy" Robinson, age 72 of Franklinton, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Baptist Health of Louisville. He was born January 18, 1943 in Shelbyville, and was the son of the late Marvin Earl and Lucretia Burgin Robinson. He was a farmer and had worked as a Brake Master for CSX Railroad. He was a member of the United Baptist Church of Gratz. He is survived by his wife: Linda L. Robinson of Franklinton; one daughter: Tracy Lynn Winters (Tim) of Louisville; one step-son: Don Acree (Jenny) of LaGrange; two sisters: Jane Tindle (Steve) of Franklinton and Mary Helen O'Neal (Joe) of Carrollton; three grandchildren: Libby, Reese and Bodie; three step-grandchildren: Natalia, XZavier and Lilyanna; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Rev. Leon Robinson and Rev. Hayward Yeary officiating. Interment will be in Franklinton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 and after 11 a.m. the day of the service. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the United Baptist Church of Gratz, c/o Patsy Snider, 282 Crittenden Street, Gratz, KY 40359 and to the American Cancer Society. Honorary pallbearers are Richard Cline, Jason Shyrock, Gary Brown, Michael Sharp and Greg Aldridge.
