Timothy Allen Banta, age 59 of the Franklinton Community of Pleasureville, died Saturday, December 29, 2018 at his residence. He was born November 19, 1959, in Shelbyville, and was the son of the late James and Mona Ivers Banta. He was a roofer with Insulated Roofing Contractors, and a member of the Christian Faith.
He is survived by his wife: Michelle Gentry of Franklinton; one son: Christopher Allen Banta of Eminence; two daughters: Tiffany Gentry of Franklinton, and Brittany Gentry of Owenton; three brothers: Rick Banta (Betty) of Eminence, Terry Banta of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tony Banta (Lisa) of Clearwater, Florida; three sisters: Linda Morris of Shelbyville, Nancy Whisman of Shelbyville, and Sandy Evans (Kenny) of Port Royal; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Kenny Evans and Ricky Holcomb will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2019, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on day of the funeral. Burial will be in Cropper Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Brandon Thomas, Aaron Louden, James Baker, David Husband, Josh Price, Richie Banta, and Anthony White.
