Terry Lynn True

Terry Lynn True, 64, a dedicated farmer, compassionate minister, and skilled trade supervisor at the Toyota plant in Georgetown, KY, was born on March 2, 1960, in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky to the late Everett Lee True and Benny Sue Yeary True. He passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife and two devoted sons.

A man of many talents, Terry pursued an education that reflected both his passion for the trades and his deep faith. He earned an associate's degree from Jefferson Community College, majoring in Industrial Maintenance, and a bachelor's degree from Kentucky Christian University with a focus on Bible and Christian Education. His career encompassed not only farming but also a significant contribution to the community through his role at Toyota and his ministerial work.

Terry was known for his love of hobbies, which included hunting and woodworking, pursuits that brought him joy and allowed him to connect with nature. He cherished spending time outdoors and often found solace in the craft of woodworking.

Terry is survived by his wife, Beverly Renee Woods True, and their two sons, Travis Lynn True and Samuel Lynn True, both of Pleasureville, KY. He will also be remembered by his two sisters, Tammy (Joe) Luttrell of Willisburg, KY, and Kathy (Tony) Truax of Pleasureville, KY. The warmth and love of his family were evident until the end, as they remained by his side during his final moments.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on Friday, December 27, 2024, starting at 1:00 PM, both taking place at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home located at 5710 Castle Hwy, Pleasureville, KY 40057. Bro. Mike Rife will officiate. Burial will be in the Franklinton Cemetery.

Terry leaves behind a legacy of dedication, love, and faith, which will continue to inspire those who had the privilege to know him. His memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey.
