Sue Ann Kemper

Sue Ann Ethington Kemper, age 71, of Pleasureville, KY passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, at her residence.  She was born on December 16, 1951, in Shelbyville, KY, the daughter of Hubert Ethington and Barbara Newman. Sue was a member of Union Baptist Church. She was a housewife, homemaker and a farmer. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years; Stanley Lee Kemper, two daughters; Angela Carol (Brad) O’Nan of Pleasureville, KY, and Rebecca Sue (Brandon) Holmes of Pleasureville, KY, one son; Wesley Lee Hubert Kemper (April Raisor) of Pleasureville, KY, her mother; Barbara Newman of Orlando, FL, three sisters; Brenda Richards of Orlando, FL, Michelle Grace of Orange City, FL, and Sherri Churchville of Orange City, FL, one brother; Ricky Ethington of Umatilla, FL, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one special cousin; Bobbye Sharp of Pleasureville, KY. She is preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Woods officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., and Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. until time of the service, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Defoe Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Bastin, Leonard Gayle Kemper, Darrell Kemper, Jimmy White, Manuel Adler, Ricky Kelly and Gwen Sharp. Pallbearers will be Wesson Kemper, Seth O’Nan, Anthony Palmer, Brandon Holmes, Tate Byers and Andy Cline.
