Sherry Cook Harp, age 76 of Smithfield died September 18, 2021 at U of L Hospital Downtown Louisville. She was born in Frankfort on October 10, 1944 to the late George Franklin Cook and Ethel Vestine Eden Cook. She was a homemaker and farmer and attended Lockport United Methodist Church.
Sherry is survived by one son: John Brent Harp of Smithfield; two daughters: Nancy Marie Beckley and Connie Gail Ayers, both of Eminence; one brother: Joe Cook of Georgetown; one sister: Elizabeth Ratchford of Eminence; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert J. Harp; two sons: Jerry Wayne Harp and Larry Lynn Harp and nine brother and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Bro. Charles LeCompte will officate. Burial will be at Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and 10 a.m. until time of the service on Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Robert Raisor, Katie Paris, Jacob Williams, Steven Gallentine, Allison Harp, and Nick Medina.
