Robert (Pete) Jerry Harp, age 74 of Smithfield, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Baptist Health in Louisville. He was born in Bethlehem, KY and was the son of the late Omer and Liz Ella Willhite Harp. He was a farmer. He is survived by his wife: Sherry Cook Harp of Smithfield; two sons: Larry Harp of Shelbyville and John Harp of Eminence; two daughters: Nancy Beckley of Pleasureville and Connie Ayers of Eminence; three sisters: Dora Shaw of Covington, Maudie Harlow of Christiansburg and Mary Driver of Bagdad; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and best friends: William Clements and H. B. Smith. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Wayne Harp, three brothers, James Russell Harp, Homer Harp, Jr. and James Ray Harp, and a sister, Beulah Thomas. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Rev. Ed Berry, pastor of Henry Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014 and from 9.a.m. until funeral time on Monday. Honorary pallbearers are Patricia Harp, Katie Paris and Jacob Williams. Active pallbearers are Robert Raisor, Larry Harp, Jr., George Gallentine, Steven Gallentine, Beve Michael Crawford and David Chesser. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Kosair Charities, P.O.
