Robert Leslie Mudd, age 84, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Louisville. He was born November 2, 1932 in Holy Cross, KY (Marion County) and was the son of the late Walter and Dorthea Hagan Mudd. He had worked as the Superintendent of several stone quarries, was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church, and was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife: Marilyn Robinson Mudd of Bethlehem; five sons; Lawrence Robert Mudd of Louisville, Gerald Leslie Mudd of Butler, Randy Kent Mudd (Gina) of Grants Lick, Ronald Lee Mudd (Selenea) of Falmouth, and Michael Todd Mudd of Berry; two daughters: Sheryl Kay Mudd of Butler, and Rhonda Dee Mudd Yelton (James) of Butler; one brother: James Mudd of Louisville; one sister: Anna Elizabeth Mudd Miller (William) of Bardstown; twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Paul Mudd and Charles Mudd.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2016 at St. John Chrysostom Catholic Church in Eminence. Father Gerald Witzemann will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville and from 10 a.m. until 12 noon on Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Randy Mudd, Ronnie Mudd, Mike Mudd, Jeremy Mudd, Nick Mudd, and Brandon Mudd.
