Robert Amos Chesser, age 72 of Frankfort, died Monday, January 15, 2018 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. He was born September 4, 1945 in Taylorsville, and was the son of the late Amos and Ruby Chadwell Chesser. He was a former police officer for the Shelbyville and Frankfort Police Departments, and was a truck driver for Kingsbury Concrete. He was a member and deacon of Gratz United Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son: Robert “Bobby” Samuel Chesser of Georgetown; two daughters: Roberta Mae Chesser Ryan (Rick) of Bagdad, and Kimberly Chesser Holt (James) of Pleasureville; one brother: Alvin Bruce Chesser (Karen) of Louisville; six grandchildren: Brandon Young, Trey Holt, Jordan Holt, Kevin Young, Skyler Holt, and Bobby Chesser, Jr., and three nieces and one nephew, and several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Services will be officiated by Brother Fred Snider. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018, and from 11 a.m. until time of services on Friday. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Chesser, Brandon Young, Trey Holt, Kevin Young, Richard Ryan, and James Holt.
