Rev. Wayne Kelly

Rev. J. Wayne Kelly, age 82 of Owenton, died Sunday, February 5, 2017 at his residence. He was born January 30, 1935 in Irvine, KY and was the son of the late Raymond W. and Fairy Ann Fowler Kelly. He served as a Minister for more than 53 years, and was a member of Lockport Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years: Beulah Million Kelly of Owenton; one son: Steven Wayne Kelly (and wife Jan) of Owenton; four daughters: Vickie Lynn Rice (and husband Jim) of Owenton, Teresa Ann Marlette (and husband Chris) of Worthville, Rhonda Carol Smither (and husband Eddie) of Frankfort, and Kimberly Gail Beverly of Owenton; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by three brothers: Raymond Kelly, Jr., Burnam Isaac Kelly, and Winfred Lee Kelly.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Lockport Baptist Church. Rev. Paul Briscoe, pastor of Lockport Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Owenton Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday.

Pallbearers include James Rice, Brandon DeCapio, Kyle Kelly, Micah Smither, David Wilson, and Isaac Beverly.
