Quinie Lee Smith

Quinie Lee Smith, age 79, of Pleasureville, KY passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, at U of L Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.  He was born on June 8, 1943, in Lawrenceburg, KY, Anderson Co., the son of Edward Uni and Blondella Louise Brown Smith. Quinie was of the Christian faith, formerly worked at Brunswick Sewing Factory and retired from Eminence Speaker.   He enjoyed drawing and welding, he loved to collect and restore cars and was a jack of all trades.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years; Alice Moore Smith of Pleasureville, KY, whom he married on October 30, 1965, one son; Randy (Paula) Smith of Bethlehem, KY, five brothers; Bert (Anna) Smith of Frankfort, KY, Jackie (Sheila) Smith of Alton, KY, Alvin (Donna) Smith of Lawrenceburg, KY, David (Charlotte) Smith of Franklinton, KY, and Tony (Dee) Smith of Willisburg, KY, four sisters; Maxine Jenkins of Stringtown, KY, Mary Elizabeth McNeil of Alton, KY, Michelle (William) Bast of Simpsonville, KY and Carolyn (Donnie) Webber of Frankfort, KY, and one step granddaughter; Jessica Owens of New Castle, KY. He is preceded in death by one son; Gary Smith (2019), two brothers; Tommy Smith and Jimmy Smith, one sister; Vicky Wise, and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home with Bro. J.T. Stinson officiating and the Eulogy given by his brother, Jackie Smith. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Point Pleasant Cemetery.
