Norma Jean Clark Nelson, age 86 of Eminence died November 12, 2021 at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville. She was born on December 14, 1934 in Lockport to the late James Clark and Emma Gilbert Clark. She was a homemaker, worked in retail sales and had worked at Brunswick in Eminence. She was a member of Eminence Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son: Ricky Lane Nelson (Pam) of Pleasureville; her daughter: Teresa Nelson Roberts of Carthage, Missouri; one brother: Jimmy Clark of Eminence; one sister: Frankie Smith of Memphis, Tennessee; three grandchildren: Joshua Roberts, Keith Nelson and Matthew Nelson; and three great-grandchildren: Abigal Nelson, Destiny Nelson and Lainey Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Elliott Suter Nelson; and a son: Larry Nelson.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Michael Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in Defoe Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, November 15, 2021 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. until time of the service on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Josh Roberts, Keith Nelson, Matthew Nelson, Raymond Parsons, Eddie Nelson and Jimmy Nelson.
