Melvin Lyons

Melvin Lyons , 82, a lifelong resident of Bethlehem, KY passed away at his home on January 7, 2018. He was the son of the late Ruby Lyons and Emma Hawkins Lyons. He was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.

He was an Army veteran, retired farmer, former owner of Kentuckiana Tobacco Warehouse in Carrollton, KY, and a Director of CUB Bank, Owenton.

Survived by his wife Dana, his children Brent Lyons (Robin) of Bethlehem, Marcia lyons Jackson (Jim) of Lexington, two grandchildren Edenah Makensie Jackson and Conor Marsh Lyons, a sister, Mary Alice Lyons Heaton (Elton). Step sons Jamie Bowling, Oklahoma and Dakotah Bowling (Jessica) of Evansville, Indiana and three step grandchildren, Julian, Kaden, and Faith Jackson Peel, many loved nieces, nephews and family members and two honorary sons, George Armstrong and Steven Stark.

Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville, is handling arrangements. Visitation Wednesday, January 10 from 6-8pm at Daybreak Baptist Church. Funeral service Thursday, January 11 at 11:00 am at Daybreak Baptist Church. Interment immediately following at Pleasureville Cemetery.
