Mary Lou Estes, age 69 of Eminence, died Thursday, August 6, 2015, at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. She was born in Crestwood on August 4, 1946, and was the daughter of the late William Lee and Christine Flack Gill. She worked in the food industry for Torbitt & Castleman Company in Buckner, and was a member of Union Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband: Ralph Estes of Eminence; two sons: Mark Estes (Nancy), and Brian Estes, all of Eminence; two daughters: Laura Washburn (Martin) of Pleasureville, and Carolyn Sams (Jason) of New Castle; one brother: David Gill (Edith) of Bagdad; one sister: Anita Wilborn (Claude) of Pewee Valley; five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Lee Gill, Jr. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday August 10, 2015 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Rev. Jacky Newton, pastor of Franklinton Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2015, and 9 a.m. until time of the service on Monday. Interment will be in New Castle Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brandon Sams, Justin Chisholm, Devon Estes, Michael Estes, John Walker, and Jamie Cole.
