Mary Genatta (Harp) Lindell Driver, 90, born on March 8, 1935, in Henry County, Kentucky, to Omer and Lizzie Wilhite Harp, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. She was a cherished member of her community and a devoted individual who made a lasting impact through her work in childcare at Child Town Day Care Center.
A woman of deep faith, Mary was an active member of Christianburg Baptist Church, where she found solace and fellowship. Her warm spirit and kind heart endeared her to many, leaving fond memories in the lives of those she nurtured throughout her career and beyond.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Teddy Wayne Driver, alongside her daughter, Beverly Ann (Eddie) Sheets from Bagdad, Kentucky. She was a proud grandmother to two grandchildren; Erica (Eric) Sloan and Chuck Sheets, both of Bagdad, Kentucky, four great-grandchildren; Cameron (Shelby) Sheets, Kolton Raizor, Kade Raizor and Charlie Sheets and two great-great-grandchildren; Hattie and Ford Sheets, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her late husband, Johnie Lindell. Mary also mourned the loss of three sisters, Dora Elizabeth Shaw, Maudie Harlow, and Beulah Thomas, as well as four brothers, James Russell Harp, Robert Jerry Harp, Homer Harp, Jr., and James Ray Harp. Each of these family members contributed to who she was and will be remembered as part of her life story.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home located at 5710 Castle Hwy, Pleasureville, KY 40057. The funeral service will take place on Friday, March 14, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM, also at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home, and will be officiated by Rev. Harry Hebert. Burial will be in the Pleasureville Cemetery and will conclude the celebrations of a life lived with faith, love, and dedication.
Pallbearers will be Eric Sloan, Chuck Sheets, Eddie Sheets, Kolton Raizor, Kade Raizor, Cameron Sheets and Charlie Sheets.
Mary Genatta Lindell Driver will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever endure in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
