Marilyn "Mickey" Mcgowan Sewell

Marilyn “Mickey” McGowan Sewell, age 87, of Bethlehem, KY (and later on Versailles, KY) went to be with The Lord on Monday, June 27, 2022. She was born on April 10, 1935, to William and Linville (Thomas) McGowan.

She was a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She loved her family, her many friends, going to yard sales, tending to her flowers, taking care of all animals, working at the grocery store, and worshipping her Lord.

Mickey is survived by her daughter, Kathy Sewell Jones and her son-in-law Rick Jones of Versailles, KY. Granddaughter, Amanda Jones Kitchin, and 2 great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Denise Kitchin and Michael William Kitchin of Lexington KY.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bain Sewell. Also, her brothers, Lowell, Paul, and Don McGowan along with her sisters, Eileen McGowan Stivers and Doris Lynn McGowan.

Mickey also left an extended family whom she loved dearly.

Kay (Jim) Sewell Hartigan and daughters, Dawn and Melissa. Barbara Sewell Gardner (the late Rev. Larry Gardner), sons Mark and Kelly, and daughter, the late Sonya Gardner.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville, KY. Jeff Wells and Kathy Sewell Jones will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Friday. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Bain Gardner, Larry Mark Gardner, Wayne Stivers, Philip Howard Sewell, Cody McGowan and Rick Jones.
