Marietta Moore Dowden, age 78 of Pleasureville, KY Marietta Moore Dowden, age 78 of Pleasureville died Monday, March 5, 2012 at Homestead Nursing Center in New Castle. She was born in Shelbyville and was the daughter of the late Forrest E. and Nevada Harrod Moore. She was a Realtor for Torrey Smith Realty and was a member of Pleasureville United Methodist Church where she served as organist. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Ingles Dowden, Sr., her son, John Ingles Dowden, Jr., and her daughters, Johanna Dowden and Nevada Dowden. Services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Pleasureville United Methodist Church. The Reverends Don Hatton, Carl Rucker and Jeff Bramel will officiate. Burial will be in Dutch Tract Cemetery in Pleasureville. Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville is entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at sholarfuneralhome.com.
