Margie Gwendolyn Hampton

Margie Gwendolyn Hampton, age 86, of Lawrenceburg, died Friday, May 24, 2019 at her residence. She was born July 20, 1932 in Lockport to the late Arville Beckham Cox and Mattie McAlister Cox. She was a homemaker and belonged to Lockport Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons: Harold Wayne Cooper (Eva) of Lawrenceburg, and Glen Allen Cooper (Cora) of Crittenden; one daughter: Patricia Ann Mason (Tim) of Madisonville; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Robert Scott Hampton; a daughter: Brenda Kay Cooper; and three brothers: A.B. Cox, Kenneth Cox, and Russell Cox.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Tim Mason, pastor of Bethlehem Christian Church in Madisonville, will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time the day of the services.
