Lucille Clark Erwin, age 89, of LaGrange, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Baptist Health in LaGrange.
She was born in Bethlehem, Kentucky on August 16, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Gill Clark and Pearl Aldridge Clark. She retired from the Kentucky State Reformatory as a Correctional Officer, and was a member of Centerfield Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sisters: Sylvia Downey of Eminence and Shirley McClure (Morris) of Lexington; two daughters-in law: Janice Casey of Shelbyville, and Judy Duncan of Middletown; five grandchildren: Charlotte Casey of Austin, Indiana, Elaine Rogers of Shelbyville, Latisha Langley of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Brandy Snyder of Taylorsville, and Lisa Downs of Shelbyville; fourteen great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Charles Tyler Casey, and Floyd D. Erwin; two sons: Charles Ray Casey, and Steven Tyler Casey; one sister: Mary Evelyn Bowling; and one brother: R. C. Clark.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2017, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Jacky Newton, pastor of the Franklinton Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 and from 12 noon until time of the funeral on Sunday, May 7, 2017.
