Lois Whaley Clubb

Lois Whaley Clubb, age 91, of Pleasureville, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Homestead Nursing Center in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Amanda (Wilson) Whaley. She was a homemaker, a teacher's assistant at Eastern Elementary School for twenty years, a member of Pleasureville Baptist Church and a volunteer at Homestead Nursing Center for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband: John Boyd Clubb; a daughter: Janet (Clubb) Bastin; brothers: Joe Hoyt and Charles Madison (Buddy) Whaley; and sisters: Emily Arnold, Mary Wilson Tillman, and Francis Sharman. She is survived by her daughter: Elizabeth Robin Clubb-Hawkins of Campbellsburg; five grandchildren: John Bastin, Lee Ann Bastin Gamble, Amanda Bastin Ott, Joe Bastin, and Jenna Hawkins Hughes; nine great-grandchildren: Timothy Bastin, Syndey Bastin, Sara Bastin, Bryson Ott, Chance Ott, Elijah Ott, Jacob Bastin, Addison Bastin, and Makinzie Bastin. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Rev. Jerry Anderson, pastor of Pleasureville Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014.
