Linden S. Adams

Linden S. Adams, age 71, of Shelbyville died Monday, May 30, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Shelbyville on March 30, 1945 and was the son of the late Ernest and Irene Bramblett Adams. He was a proud heavy-equipment operator for several years at Bowen Construction and Pridemore Construction. He was a member of Elmburg Baptist Church and belonged to the Oddfellows. He played on the 1962 Henry County basketball team, which was the last Henry County basketball team to make it to the State Tournament.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara Wood Richardson Adams of Shelbyville; one son: Wesley Adams (Nikki) of Shelbyville; three daughters: Rebecca Martin (Rodney) of Frankfort; Deannie Baxter (Greg) of Lawrenceburg, and Cathy Sherrard (Ben) of Mount Eden; one brother: William G. Adams of Flowery Branch, Georgia; ten grandchildren: Cameron Martin, Cooper Martin, Shannon Duncan (Billy), Aaron Baxter (Lacy), Morgan Baxter, Eli Sherrard, Ethan Sherrard, Victoria Adams, Wesley Adams, Jr., and Jayda Adams; three great-grandchildren: Sofi Daniel, Kara Duncan, and Ashor Baxter; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Rev. Brad Jennings officiating. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016 and from 9 am. until time of service on Friday.

Pallbearers are Aaron Baxter, Wesley Adams, Jr., Eli Sherrard, Ethan Sherrard, Robbie Wood, Mikie Whiddon, Brandon Warford, and Cameron Warford.
