Lewis Dean Rose

Lewis Dean Rose, age 78 of Tucson, Arizona, died Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the VA Hospital Southern Arizona Healthcare System. He was born February 18, 1940 in Casey County, Kentucky was the son of the late J. L. Rose and Eva Mae Godbey Rose. He was heavy equipment operator and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of the VFW, DAV, Amvets, and the American Legion.

He is survived by his daughter: Pam Morgan of Milton; four sisters: Norma Sellers of Hanover, Indiana, Barbara Purnell of Titusville, Florida, Vickie Burchfield of Somerset, and Patsy Arnet of Cincinnati, Ohio; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Wayne Raisor of New Castle.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2019, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. the day of the services. Burial with military funeral honors will be in Franklinton Cemetery.
