Gladys Lavergne Johnson Bohannon, age 89 of Frankfort, formerly of Defoe, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. She was born in Bells, TN and was the daughter of the late Charles and Victoria Smith Johnson. She retired from General Electric as a spot welder and was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasureville United Methodist Church and a former member of Union Baptist Church. Survivors include one son: Larry C. Bohannon (Pam) of Pleasureville; one daughter: Vicki Witt (John) of Frankfort; two sisters: Sue Cole and Rose Cutberth; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: John Cecil Bohannon; a daughter: Linda Kinser; and a grandson: Jimmy Tate Kinser. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Todd Lester will officiate. Burial will be in Defoe Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2015 and from 10 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
