Judith Leslie Shaw, born Judith Leslie Eddins on January 2, 1968, peacefully passed away on May 11, 2024 at Norton's Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was known for her dedicated work as an Administrative Specialist 3 for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, where she made a lasting impact with her exceptional skills and professionalism.
Judith's love for life extended beyond her career. She found joy in various hobbies and interests, such as being a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, crafting beautiful jewelry, embracing the outdoors, immersing herself in farm life, and cherishing moments spent with her beloved grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Minnie Elizabeth Lenora Heightchew Eddins, and devoted father, Roy Lee Eddins. Judith is survived by her husband, Christopher L. Shaw; son John Alexander "Alex" (Alexis) Shaw of Pleasureville, KY; daughter Kristan S. (Daniel) Wright of Eminence, KY; sisters Janet L. Jones of Crestwood, KY and Jennifer L. (Barry) Woods of Pleasureville, KY; as well as her four adored grandchildren - Josephine and Eleanor Wright, and Ashton and Easton Shaw.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home in Pleasureville on Thursday, May 16th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and after 10:00 AM on Friday, May 17, 2024. The funeral service will be held at the same location on May 17th starting at 11:00 AM, officiated by Rev. Travis Sheehan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alexis Shaw, Daniel Wright, Teresa Armstrong, Jenny Escobar and Barry Woods. Active pallbearers will be Stewart West, Bobby Roberts, Mark Eddins, Bradley Woods, Lukas Armstrong, Dennis West, Glenn Heightchew and Kerry Flores.
Judith Leslie Shaw will be fondly remembered for her kind heart, unwavering dedication to her work and family, and the way she touched the lives of those around her with warmth and grace. She leaves behind a legacy of love and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
