Judith Lynne O'nan Hensley

Judith Lynne O’Nan Hensley, age 56, of Pleasureville, Ky passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Jewish Hospital, Louisville, Ky.



Judy was born in Shelbville, Ky on February 13, 1963 to James William O’Nan and Barbara Ann Brantley O’Nan. Judy previously worked as a nursing aide at Masonic Home in Shelbyville, Ky and at Homestead Nursing Home in New Castle, Ky. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, Defoe and recently attended Cropper Baptist Church in Cropper.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Carrol Hensley; father, James William O’Nan and her grandmother, Grace Downey O’Nan.



She is survived by her mother, Barbara O’Nan; brother, Michael O’Nan; sister, Karen Williams (Ryan); two nieces, Cristina Dahlgren (Patrick) and Ashley O’Nan; six grand nieces and nephews; uncles, Roger O’Nan (Iva); Howard O’Nan (Vickie); and James M Brantley (Beling); plus numerous cousins, and fiancé and caretaker, Thomas Gardner.



Visitation is from 1pm until 3pm on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville, Ky. Funeral services are scheduled for 3pm with Rev. Jesse Huggins, Cropper Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.



Pallbearers will be Roger O’Nan, Howard O’Nan, Glenn Smith, Wayne Ethington, Brad O’Nan, Gabe O’Nan and Tate Byers.
