J.r. (James Russell) Ross

James Russell “J.R.” Ross, age 83, of Frankfort passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Sam Swope Masonic Home of Louisville. He was born December 23, 1937 to the late Charles Ross and Ossie Bondurant Ross. He worked for the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a custodian at the State Capitol. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Frankfort. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge #147 and St. George #239.

He is survived by his cousins: Julia Hershey of Frankfort, Roy Brown, Sr. (Gail) of Mililani, Hawaii, Edna Quire of Frankfort and Marshall Jesse Brown (Dee) of Alabama; and many other cousins and the Bratcher family.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Tim Morrow will officiate. Honorary officiant will be Rev. William Carter.
Burial will be at Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 11 a.m. until time of the service on Tuesday.
