Joyce Puckett

Leah Joyce Stivers Puckett, age 86, of Eminence died May 25, 2015 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Pleasureville and was the daughter of the late Morrison and Marie Hughes Stivers. She had worked as an accountant, a bank teller, and an insurance agent for Stivers' Insurance Agency. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Bradley Puckett. She is survived by one son: Bradley Morrison Puckett (Linda Sharp Puckett) of Eminence; one sister; Dean Adell Belwood of Pleasureville; three grandchildren: Lyndsay Batovsky (Stephen, III) of Jeffersontown, Aaron Bradley Puckett (Katie) of Shelbyville, and Adina Norie Puckett (Bradley Snider) of Eminence; and six great-grandchildren: Alexis Batovsky, Ava Batovsky, Georgia Snider, Savannah Snider, Carter Puckett, and McKinley Puckett. Visitation will be at Sholar Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Eminence Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Rev. Ed Berry and Rev. Thomas Minton will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers include Rollin Puckett, David Puckett, David Wayne Puckett, Doug Puckett, Linville Puckett, Linville Puckett, Jr., Anthony Puckett, Jerry Puckett, William Dykeman, Eddie Mastrean, Omer Puckett, and J.T. Stinson. Active pallbearers include Wayne Sparrow, Stephen Sparrow, Aaron Puckett, Stephen Batovsky, Bradley Snider, Mark Roberts, Skip Berry, and Dale Berry.
