James William O'nan

James William O'Nan, age 73, of Pleasureville, Ky, died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born in Shelbyville, Ky on August 27, 1942 and grew up in Defoe, Ky. He was the son of Howard and Grace Downey O'Nan of Defoe. He was a farmer and he retired from General Electric in Louisville after 35 years of service. He was a member of Union Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Brantley O'Nan of Pleasureville, one son, Michael O'Nan of Pleasureville, two daughters Judy Hensley of Pleasureville and Karen (Ryan) Williams of Shelbyville; two granddaughters, Ashley O'Nan of Pleasureville, Cristina (Patrick) Dahlgren of Shelbyville and; four (five) great-grandchildren, Logan Alois, Walker Barthold, Evangeline Marie and Everleigh Anne (another great granddaughter, Everett Lilliana, will be born in April 2016); two brothers, Roger (Iva) O'Nan of Campbellsburg and Howard (Vickie) O'Nan of Pleasureville and several nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Sholar Funeral Home, Pleasureville, KY. Rev. Carl Rucker will officiate. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 at the funeral home, and from 12:00 pm. until time of service on Saturday, February 6, 2016. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.
