Iris Boswell Farmer, age 72 of Eminence, died Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Baptist Health in Louisville. She was born October 7, 1943 in Overton County, Tennessee, and was the daughter of the late Albert Grover Boswell and Essie Walker Boswell. She was a homemaker and a member of Crossroads Lighthouse Church.
She is survived by three sons: Ricky Farmer and Marvin Farmer, both of Arkansas, and Robert Brewer (and wife Davida) of Eminence; one daughter: Angela Farmer of Campbellsville; one brother: Marshall Boswell of Frankfort; three sisters: Phyllis McDonald and Mavis Schell, both of Franklin County, and Kathy Schell of Scott County; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Louis Farmer.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Services will be officiated by Bro. Paul Harvey of the Crossroads Lighthouse Church. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2016, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Thursday. Burial will be in Eminence Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Mark Goodwin, Bobby Brewer, Kevin Brewer, Paul Brewer, Paul Brewer, Sr., and Sambo Jennings.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to Crossroads Lighthouse Church, 220 Clear Creek Road, Eminence, KY 40019.
