Harold Bohannon

HAROLD BOHANNON, age 90 of Pleasureville, KY Harold Bohannon, age 90 of Pleasureville, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Elmburg, and was the son of the late James (Jim) and Jenny Wylie Bohannon. He had been a dairy and tobacco farmer, a parts manager for Pleasureville Supply, a member of Elmburg Baptist Church, Deacon of Elmburg Baptist Church for 64 years, Treasurer of Elmburg Baptist Church for more than 48 years, was twice Moderator of the Baptist Association, an ASCS Committee person, a Sub-Mail Man for Route 2, Pleasureville, measured tobacco ground for the Government, and was a Board Member of Southern States. He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years: Virginia Kesler Bohannon of Pleasureville; one son: Billy Bohannon of Elmburg; one daughter-in-law: Judy Bohannon of Bagdad; six grandchildren: Tim Bohannon (Cheryl), Tina Travis, Rene' Briley (Jack), Johnny Bohannon II (Kim), Lisa Lyon, and Brian Bohannon (Angie); nine great-grandchildren: Clay, Chris, Jessica, Rachel, Katie, Taylor, Grant, Morgan and Kelsey; two great-great grandchildren: Areina Bohannon and Timothy Roberts III. He was preceded in death by a son: Johnny Bohannon; six brothers: Leonard, Russell, Ryburn, Lester, David Shelby, and Orbin Ray Bohannon; one sister: Viola Faith; and a daughter-in-law, Reva Bohannon. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Rev. Brad Jennings and Rev. Marshall Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Wood, Robbie Wood, Dennis Newton, Bill Hedges, Phillip Herrell, Darrell Beckley, and Ted Driver. Active pallbearers will be Tim Bohannon, Johnny Bohannon II, Brian Bohannon, Clay Bohannon, Chris Bohannon, Jack Briley, and Tim Roberts.
