Gregory Kent Willard

Gregory Kent Willard, age 68, of Bagdad, KY died Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, KY. He was born on February 19, 1954, in Shelbyville, Shelby County, KY to A.C. and Frances Shouse Willard. He was a member of Cropper Baptist Church and was a self-employed truck driver. Greg enjoyed fishing, western movies, tinkering, buying, selling and trading cars and spending time with his grandkids.

Survivors include: two daughters; Samantha Miller of Bagdad, KY and Melissa Willard of Eminence, KY, three sons; Eric C. Willard of Bethlehem, KY, Stephen T. Willard of Eminence, KY and Michael G. Willard of Eminence, KY, two sisters; Patricia Richardson of Waddy, KY and Melody Garcia of Fallbrook, CA, five brothers; Terry Willard of Waddy, KY, Doug Willard of New Salisbury, IN, Tim Willard of Cropper, KY, Troy Willard of Berea, KY and Mike Willard of Millville, KY, thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife; Barbara Sue Broughton Willard on January 29, 2010 and a son; Shane Willard.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry Hebert officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, October 3, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Burial will be in the New Castle Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen T. Willard, Eric C. Willard, Michael G. Willard, Troy M. Willard, Joshua D. Stewart, Jakob A. Powell and Matthew M. Willard.
