Geneva Marcum

Geneva W. Marcum, age 93 of Eminence, died Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville. She was born June 8, 1924 in Pleasureville, and was the daughter of the late Amster and Jessie Banta Willhoite. She was a homemaker and belonged to Eminence Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons: James Marcum (Pauline “Polly”) of Louisville, and Danny Lee Marcum (Debra) of Aylett, Virginia; one daughter: Neva Jean Marcum of Franklinton, North Carolina; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Harvey Marcum; a sister: Lee Ola Barnett; and a brother: Charles Willhoite.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2017, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Services will be officiated by Rev. Jesse Baxter. Visitation will be from 10 a.m, until time of services on Friday. Burial will be in Eminence Cemetery.
