Floyd Ray Rodgers

Floyd Ray Rodgers, age 76, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Baptist Health La Grange. He was born April 14, 1946, to the late Orum Bohannon Rodgers and Katherine Jones Rodgers. Floyd retired from Ford Truck Plant, after 30 years.

He is survived by his wife: Merram Juda “Judy” Staples Rodgers of Bedford; one son: James Orum Rodgers (Dawn) of Pendleton; one daughter: Angela Lynn Hollingsworth (Tim) of Louisville; and two grandchildren: Shelby Woods (Bradley) and Whitney Potts (Caleb).

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Bobby Rodgers and Orum Bohannon “O.B.” Rodgers, Jr.; and four sisters: Doris Lamping, Deloris Richardson, Wanda Mae Tindle, and Ruth Ann Welsh.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. A graveside will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2022, at Valley of Rest Cemetery in La Grange. Bro. Paul Briscoe will officiate.
