Fannie Belle Hamilton

Fannie Belle Craigmyle Hamilton, age 96, of Pleasureville, died Thursday, June 16, 2016, in Eminence. She was born July 24, 1919, and was the daughter of the late Richard Craigmyle, Sr. and Lou Sutherland Craigmyle. She was a homemaker and farmer, and a member of Gest United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons: Vernon Hamilton of Eminence, and Chester Hamilton of Smithfield; two daughters: Bonnie Rutherford (Dauser) of Frankfort, and Glenda Lucas of Eminence; one sister: Kathleen Wallace of Carrollton; nine grandchildren: Maria Rutherford, Jerry Rutherford (Connie), Casey Hamilton, Dustin Hamilton (Jessica), Anthony Lucas, Tracy Curry (Shane), Deborah Jones (Bobby), Jamie Hignite (Aaron), and David Hamilton; thirteen great-grandchildren: Kimberly Moore (Joseph), Jacob Rutherford, Megan Lucas, Cole Lucas, Ryan Lucas, Tray Curry, Samuel Curry, Nicholas Hamilton, Matthew Hamilton, Zachary Jones, Vanessa Jones, Zayden Hignite, and Kingston Hignite; one great-great grandchild: Esiason Moore; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph L. Hamilton; a son: Steve Hamilton; and four brothers: William Craigmyle, Richard Craigmyle, Jr., Charles Craigmyle, and Roy Craigmyle.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2016, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Michael Duncan, pastor of Eminence Baptist Church, will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Monday. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Maria Rutherford, Tracy Curry, Jamie Hignite, and Deborah Jones. Active pallbearers are Jerry Rutherford, Dustin Hamilton, Anthony Lucas, David Hamilton, Jacob Rutherford, Casey Hamilton, and Tray Curry.
