Enola Rucker

Enola Rucker, age 94, of Taylorsville, died Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Signature Health Care in Taylorsville. She was born February 11, 1924, in Shelby County, and was the daughter of the late Fred and Amelia Banta Black. She was a homemaker and a member of Light of God Baptist Church in Shelbyville.

She is survived by four sons: Everett Lee Rucker (Karen) of Worthville, Freddie Lynn Rucker of Waddy, James K. Rucker of Lockport, and Ronnie Banta (Brenda) of Campbellsburg; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Everett “Turk” Rucker; and siblings: Bonnie Nester, Shelby Black, and Amelia Banta.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Bro. Greg Nimmo officiating. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018 and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Friday. Burial will be in Cropper Cemetery.
