Emery "Pooh Bear" Washburn

Emery Washburn, age 65, of Eminence, formerly of Lockport, died Sunday, November 24, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Shelbyville on September 6, 1954 to James C. Winters and Stella Washburn Winters. He was a member of Lockport Baptist Church.

He is survived by two sisters: Michelle Winters (Ray Palmer) of Eminence, and Penny Jo Winters of Eminence, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Ann Maddox.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Lockport Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Briscoe officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville, and 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. the day of the services, at Lockport Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Carroll Jennings, P. J. Arnold, Anthony Brown, Tony Combs, Chris Brown, and David Rucker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray Palmer, Robin Aldridge, McKenzie Winters, Tiffany Winters, Cassie McAlister, Sissy Jennings, Joyce Combs, Sasha Creech, and Johnny Farmer.
