Ellis Marvin Lashley, age 87 of Eminence died Sunday, January 30, 2022. He was born on December 8, 1934 to the late James Marlin Lashley and Anna Caroline Sowders Keys. He was a retired maintenance worker for the City of Anchorage and after retirement worked at Marvin Lashley Lawn Services. He was a former member of New Hope Baptist Church in Shelbyville.
Ellis is survived by three daughters: Shonna Ann Hopper (Roy) of Louisville, Sherry Renee Hopper (Garry) of Mt. Washington and Melinda Kay Hardin (Jason) of Shelbyville; three step sons: Todd Wadsworth (Renee), Robert Talley and Mark Wadsworth; five sisters: Wanda Parker of Bowling Green, Lola McCauley of Louisville, Georgetta Goetzinger (Johnny) of Fern Creek, Beverly Willoughby (Woody) of Shelbyville and Linda Young of Louisville; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and the best little fur companion, Minnie.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Bill Hedges will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and 9 a.m. until time of the service on Wednesday.
Pallbearers will be Todd Wadsworth, Brandon Wadsworth, Brett Wadsworth, Ethan Wood, Joshua Wood and George Wood.
