Elliott Suter Nelson

December 13, 1927 — April 24, 2019

Elliott “Suter” Nelson, age 91 of Eminence died Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville. He was the son of the late Justus and Martha Long Nelson. He was retired from Hussey Copper in Eminence, was a member of Eminence Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Army Veteran where he served in Korea.

He survived by his wife: Norma Jean Clark Nelson of Eminence; one son: Ricky L. Nelson (Pam) of Pleasureville; one daughter: Teresa Roberts of Carthage, Missouri; one brother: Donald Nelson (Wilma) of Jeffersonville, Indiana; two sisters: Ora Lee Jenkins (Dutch) of Charlestown, Indiana, and Lois Jamison of Middletown; three grandchildren: Joshua Roberts, Keith Nelson and Matthew Nelson; and two great-grandchildren: Abigail Nelson and Destiny Nelson.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April, 27, 2019 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Michael Duncan will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. the day of the services. Burial will be in Defoe Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Roberts, Keith Nelson, Matthew Nelson, Eddie Nelson, Jimmy Nelson, and Raymond Parsons.
