Elizabeth Ann Ethington Hunt, age 80 of Middletown, died Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in Louisville. She was born February 5, 1936 in Defoe, and was the daughter of the late Huston and Naomi Chisholm Ethington. She had worked for Winn Dixie Food Stores and belonged to Metropolitan Baptist Church in Louisville.
She is survived by two sons: Robert Hunt of Shelbyville and Larry Rhodes (Debbie) of Louisville; three brothers: Hubert Ethington, Eddie Lee Ethington (Becky), and Wayne Ethington (Bonnie), all of Defoe; four sisters: Beverly Cresey (Fred) of Shelbyville, Roselyn Monhollen of Shelbyville, Teresa McKee (Dave) of Frankfort, and Patsy Brewer (Ray) of Defoe; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Hunt; two brothers: Jimmy Ethington and Oscar Ethington; and one sister: Sue Ethington.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2017, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Services will be officiated by Rev. Kellan Lamb, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Madisonville. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017, and from 10 a.m until time of services on Friday. Burial will be in Defoe Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Robert Pace, Adam Rhodes, Joey Wood, Monty Wood, Corey Hinkley, and Billy Roberson.
