David Andrew Rainwater

David Andrew Rainwater, age 79, of Pleasureville, KY passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022, peacefully at his home. He was born on May 3, 1943, in Nancy, KY, the son of Ruric and Audrey Adkins Rainwater. David was an over the road truck driver for Onan Trucking and Overnite Transportation. He enjoyed antique tractors, farming and cattle.

He is survived by one son; Phillip Kent (Amie) Rainwater of Paris, KY, two daughters; Kacy JoAnne Holmes of Pleasureville, KY and Kimberly Faye (Todd) Moore of Pleaureville, KY, one brother; Donald (Wilma) Rainwater of Chiefland, FL, two sisters; Patricia Ann Rainwater of Wichita Falls, TX, and Josephine Kazouris of Tarpon Springs, FL, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife; Patricia Gayle Chisholm Rainwater (2013), one son; David Andrew Rainwater, Jr. and one sister; Carmilita Adkins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, December 9, 2022, at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home with Rev. Coleman Colston officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Defoe Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kayden Rainwater, Dylan Patton Rainwater, Genevieve Rainwater, Weston Moore, Mason Moore, Ivy Gayle Tindle, Kashton Peyton, Lukas Rainwater, Liam Rainwater and Landon Rainwater. Pallbearers will be Travis Rainwater, Sean Rainwater, William Todd Moore, Michael Todd Moore, Anna Moore, Benjamin Blake Yeary, Kayleigh Holmes and Abigail Holmes.
