Corinne Mcgowan

Corinne Swindler McGowan, age 103, of Pleasureville, died Saturday, February 13, 2016. She was born July 18, 1912, and was the daughter of the late Jesse Lang Swindler and Georgia Nell Wilhoite Swindler. She was a housewife and a member of Pleasureville Baptist Church. She is survived by one son: George Mason McGowan, Jr. of Buckner; one daughter: Charlotte Simpson of Eminence; five grandchildren: Gary A. Simpson, Gregory M. Simpson, Charles Glenn Simpson, Chad McGowan, and Jennifer Whitaker-Tennill; and nine great-grandchildren: Paige Whitaker, Hannah Whitaker, Maddox Tennill, Kayleigh McGowan, Chandler McGowan, Logan Simpson-Gillum, Jared Simpson, Olivia Simpson, and Macey Simpson. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Mason McGowan, Sr. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Jerry Anderson, pastor of Pleasureville Baptist Church, will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2016, and after 10 a.m. until time of the service on Thursday. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.
