Clarice Kemper, age 89, of Pleasureville, died Monday, May 23, 2016, in Shelbyville. She was born in Grub Ridge, KY and was the daughter of the late Manuel and Bernice Aynes Cravens. She had worked for more than twenty-five years at the Department of Revenue for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She was a member of Union Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons: Leonard Kemper (Jeanne) of Bagdad, Darrell Kemper (Barbara) of Pleasureville, and Stanley Kemper (Sue) of Defoe; two daughters: Joyce Knapp of Simpsonville, and Velma White (Jimmy) of Shelbyville: thirteen grandchildren, thirty eight great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Kemper.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12 p.m. (noon) Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville, officiated by Rev. Paul Briscoe. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2016, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Thursday. Burial will be in Defoe Cemetery.
Pall bearers include Leonard Gayle Kemper, Kevin Kemper, Cody Adler, Chad White, Jamie White, Anthony Palmer, and Brandon Holmes.
