Chester H. (Bud) Adler, Jr., age 71 of Pleasureville, KY Chester H. (Bud) Adler, Jr., age 71 of Pleasureville, died Friday, February 15, 2013. He was born in Henry County, and was the son of the late Chester Adler, Sr. and Blanche Baxter Adler. He was a retired butcher for Swift Meat Packing Company where he worked for 29 years and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Virginia Preston Adler of Pleasureville; one daughter; Lisa Adler of Eminence; one son: Kevin Glenn Adler (Patricia) of Pleasureville; one step-son: Michael J. Watkins of Jasper, Indiana; three step-daughters: Barbara Spies of Shelbyville, Patricia Adler of Pleasureville, and Stephanie Watkins of Shelbyville; three brothers: Froman Adler, of Shelbyville, Hubert Ray Adler of Kansas, and Ronnie Adler of Pleasureville; one sister Viola (Toots) Coleman of Louisville; one foster grandchild: Connor Bohannon; seven step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Barnes and Ruth Bohannon. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Rev. Brad Jennings, pastor of Elmburg Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Defoe Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013 and from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bohannon, Albert Duso, Dillon Hall, Kenny Nichols, Matthew Spies, and Donnie Taylor.
