Charles A. (Sonny) Simpson

Charles A. (Sonny) Simpson, age 81, of Eminence died Sunday, October 5, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Louisville on August 23, 1933 and was the son of the late Charles G. and Edith B. Lucas Simpson. He was a retired case worker for Luther Luckett Correctional Complex in La Grange, a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of Eminence Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife: Charlotte McGowan Simpson of Eminence; three sons: Gary Allen Simpson of Louisville, Gregory Mason Simpson of Greenville, IN, and Charles Glenn Simpson (Trish) of Eminence; and four grandchildren: Logan Simpson, Jared Simpson, Olivia Simpson, and Macey Simpson. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Michael Duncan, pastor of Eminence Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Eminence Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 and from 10 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.
