Carroll Junior Lyons

Carroll Junior Lyons, age 88, formerly of Bethlehem passed away the morning of December 19, 2021. He attended Pleasureville High School. He was an Army veteran, lifelong farmer, a retired truck driver with teamsters local 89 and most of his employment was with Mason & Dixon truck lines. He bowled in a league for many years, loved farming and was a great handy man.

He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Carroll Lyons and Hazel Booth Snyder, sisters Anna Elizabeth Jordan, M. J. LeCompte and Hazel Danner, a son Carroll Wayne Lyons, and a daughter Brenda Mitchell.

To cherish his memories, he leaves his wife of 68 years, Louise Shepherd Lyons and a daughter Alicia Lyons. He is survived by brothers Charles Lyons (Marilyn), Paul Lyons (Betty), William Lyons (Joyce) and Dwight Lyons, sisters Violet Knoop (Dave), Maretta Beach (Bill), Joyce Woods (Jimmy) and Diane Dixon (Keith). There are eight grandkids and 18 great-grandkids.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 24, 2021, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 23, 2021, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. until time of the service on Friday.
