Carolyn Reed Thomas

Carolyn Reed Thomas, age 75, of Louisville, died Sunday, April 2, 2017 at St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville.

She was born in Lockport (Clement’s Bottom) on November 13, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Cash Reed Thomas and Nellie Catherine Kelley Thomas. She retired from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and attended Pleasureville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sister: Marcia Thomas Crask (Garnett) of Athens, Alabama; two nephews: Kelley Thomas Crask (Tina) and Shane Alvin Crask (Marlene); four great nieces and nephews: Rachel Lee Crask, Ethan Andrew Crask, Michael Thomas Crask, and Parker Reed Crask.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Jerry Anderson, pastor of the Pleasureville Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 and after 10 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.

Pallbearers include Cash Edward McCardwell, Mike McCardwell, Tim Heilman, Ashley Chilton, Ricky Adler, Randell Roberts, Kelley Thomas Crask, and Shane Alvin Crask.
