Betty Josephine Royce

Betty Josephine Royce, age 81 of Louisville Betty Josephine Royce, age 81 of Louisville, formerly of Henry County, died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Episcopal Church Home in Louisville. She was born in Defoe and was the daughter of the late William and Lucy Hudson Thurman. She was retired from General Electric in Louisville, was a member of Union Baptist Church in Henry County, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Cedar Lake Lodge. She is survived by her son: James Keith Royce of LaGrange; one sister: Mildred Ethington of Louisville; and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Royce and two sisters, Evelyn Mitchell and Virginia Clark. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday December 5, 2012 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Interment will be in Defoe Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Cedar Lake Lodge, 3301 Jericho Road La Grange, KY 40031.
